"My name is Father Karam Alraban and I was the priest of the Church of Our Lady of Salvation and the Church of Saint Behnam in Baghdad. I was targeted in December 2013 by an Islamic radical militia, who shot at my car trying to kill me, but the lord save my life.

One Free World International was for me a touch of hope and a source of real support and solidarity. When I came to Canada in April 2014, OFWI offered me all the support and help through Rev. Majed El Shafie.

OFWI was always there to help me, even after I received my refugee status in Canada. They made me feel like a neighbor, when I expected to be a stranger.

Today I offer my deep thanks to all members of OFWI, and especially Rev. Majed El Shafie.

I pray always that the Lord will give them strength and the blessing to continue their important mission."
