Black Lives Matter

There can be no justice without accountability.

We pray for leadership to guide our society to a peaceful existence, free of hatred and racism.

We pray that our leaders hear the voices of the people protesting and use their power to enact reforms.

We stand with and speak out in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters, demanding justice for the murder of George Floyd.

We stand with and speak out in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters, demanding meaningful reform.

If your first reaction is to say “yeah, but..,” stop.

This moment is bigger than political posturing. This moment is bigger than partisan squabbles. This moment is a new opportunity to learn about the tragic impacts of racism’s past. We cannot rewrite history. We are not strengthened by weakening others.

Empathy. Compassion. Understanding. This is how we can do better as a society. This is how we can end anti-Black racism.
