Joint Letter Urges 5 Actions from Government of Canada
Over 250 eminent Canadians signed the letter calling for Prime Minister Carney’s government to act.
Majed El Shafie and One Free World International have joined over 250 eminent Canadians in co-signing a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney.
We urge the Government of Canada to:
Publicly support Israel’s right to self-defence against Iran’s direct threats and terrorist activities;
Strengthen Canadian sanctions on Iran’s regime, in order to further counter its nuclear ambitions and terrorist financing;
Enhance security measures to counter Iranian agents operating on Canadian soil;
Lead international efforts to hold Iran accountable for its violations of international law and human rights abuses; and
Ensure that fleeing members of the IRGC are not permitted entry into Canada.
Canada must always stand against terrorism and in defence of democracy.
