Local Action, Global Impact
Funds raised are going to support a growing list of needs that includes:
Research projects into COVID-19
Urgently needed equipment including:
A Portable X-Ray Machine to provide diagnostics for patients with COVID-19.
Vital Signs Machines to monitor the health of our most vulnerable patients.
Oxygen Concentrators to provide oxygen support to patients in dire need.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Providence and Unity health need to vastly ramp up their supply of PPE to protect our staff.
How can you make a difference? How can we help? While the impacts of COVID-19 are being felt around the world, many feel a sense of dread and helplessness. While we will continue our work of being a voice for the voiceless around the world, in this hour of need, we feel it is important to help closer to home so we can stay strong and continue to be a force for good in the world.
One Free World International is partnering with Providence Healthcare Foundation to support their COVID-19 Relief Fund.
From April 15 to July 15, 30% of all donations to OFWI will go to Providence’s COVID-19 Relief Fund supporting their work as part of Unity Health Toronto.
Making a Difference on COVID-19
The impacts of COVID-19 are being felt around the world and there are heroes in our local communities stepping up to help keep us safe and help those stricken with the virus. OFWI wants to come together with its supporters and make a difference by partnering with Providence Healthcare in Toronto to fund the acquisition of needed equipment.
These local actions will also have global impact. Providence Healthcare Foundation and Unity Health are currently supporting over 80 individual research projects into COVID-19, including diagnostic support, treatment options, research on possible vaccinations, and ultimately—a journey towards a cure. These projects truly have global implications.
OFWI is also continuing our work in the fields. We recently returned from a mission to Syria where we delivered sanitizers, protective and sanitary gear to 6,000 refugees in northern Syria. We will continue to support our local teams on the ground where we can while helping efforts right here at home.
We will continue to pray for you. Social distancing is having an impact and our frontline workers and researchers are working like never before to keep hope for a cure and vaccine alive.
