#JusticeForHuma - Watch The March 23 Event

On March 23, OFWI and the Huma Younus Rescue Coalition held a livestream event to raise awareness for Huma’s case. OFWI’s Majed El Shafie hosted Raheel Raza (Muslims Facing Tomorrow) & Shaan Taseer (Pakistan For All) for an in-depth discussion exploring:

• Christian Persecution & Weak Rule of Law in Pakistan

• Hear directly from Huma’s mother in Pakistan

• Karachi City Court positive ruling and legal next steps

• How you can help Huma be reunited with her family.

Huma Younus is a 15 year old girl. Over a year ago, she was kidnapped in Pakistan, raped by her captor, and forced to marry him. Working directly with Huma’s mother, a group of Canadian organizations have formed the Huma Younus Rescue Mission Coalition to advance her case in the Pakistani court system, secure her freedom, and see justice served.

While a Karachi City Court has ruled in Huma’s favour, corrupt officials are enabling this continued injustice.
